It is a very effective workout. This is an isolation exercise, So only traps muscles will be affected with it.

2. Cable Shrugs

This is also an isolation workout. But this has a different technique to perform. It requires a cable machine. Stand right in front of the cable pully and hold the bar with shoulder width. Adjust the weight according to your strength, then slowly pull the cable up and squeeze your traps muscles. Hold this situation for 10 to 15 seconds and release the hold position back to the starting position.
3. Dumbbell Shrugs
